Lachin: Azerbaijani soldiers raised their national flag in Lachin on Tuesday, signifying the handover of the last of three areas by Armenia as part of a ceasefire which ended the countries' recent conflict.
A video released by Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry showed soldiers raising the national flag in Lachin.
The truce stipulated that Armenia hand over control of three regions it holds outside Nagorno-Karabakh's borders to Azerbaijan - Kalbajar, Aghdam and Lachin.
Nagorno-Karabakh lies within Azerbaijan but has been under the control of ethnic forces backed by Armenia since a separatist war there ended in 1994.
Recently, heavy fighting reignited in the region on September 27, marking the biggest escalation of the decades-old conflict between the two ex-Soviet nations in more than 25 years, killing hundreds of people.
