Washington: US President Donald Trump on Friday turned 73. If he wins and completes a full second-term as President he will be 78 at the time he leaves office, making him the oldest US President ever.
President Trump has a full schedule planned for his special day. He will have lunch with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, followed by a meeting with Secretary of Education Betsy Devos. Later on in the day, he plans to make remarks on health coverage options for small businesses and workers.
In January last year, the President's doctor Ronny Jackson said that Trump's overall health is 'excellent' and he did 'exceedingly well' on cognitive screening.
In the US history following are the Democrats who ruled America for a long period of time:
- Late President Ronald Reagan who took office in 1981-1989 was the 40th president. He died in 2004 aged 93.
- The World War II military hero Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected to the US presidency in 1952, aged 63. He suffered a heart attack in September 1955 while on vacation in Denver, but went to live until 1969. He died at the age of 78.
