Tulsi Gabbard continues campaign for US Presidential election

Manchester: Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday night said at a rally in the US state of New Hampshire that she is the best person to beat President Donald Trump.

After 9 pm Tuesday as the count was still underway, Gabbard had secured about 3 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire primary.

Gabbard has been renting a place to live in New Hampshire since December and essentially skipped the Iowa caucuses.

She told supporters at the rally she was going to get on a plane to South Carolina and continue her campaign there.

Polls have closed across New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation presidential primary election.

The results are already culling in the Democratic field.

Andrew Yang, an entrepreneur with no previous political experience, has dropped out, and so has Colorado senator Michael Bennet.

Bernie Sanders was fighting for Democratic front-runner status in the race while former Mayor Pete Buttigieg was hoping to seize the backing of his party's establishment with a strong finish.

Joe Biden just wanted to avert political disaster as he left the state early.

Trump easily won the Republican primary against token opposition and will take on the Democratic national winner in November.
