Washington: Twitter has slapped another label on a retweet by US President Donald Trump, this time by disabling Trump's retweet on Saturday citing a copyright claim, media reports said.

The retweet, a campaign-style video with music from the group Linkin Park, disappeared from President's Twitter feed on Saturday with the notification: "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

Trump had retweeted the video from White House social media director Dan Scavino. Scavino had earlier received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice from 'Machine Shop Entertainment', a management company owned by the rock band 'Linkin Park', reports added.

"We respond to valid copyright complaints sent to us by a copyright owner or their authorized representatives," a Twitter representative said in an email statement.

However, the White House did not respond to the email immediately.

It's the latest salvo in the battle between Trump and the tech giant. Trump lashed out at Twitter earlier after it added fact-check warnings to two of his tweets on mail-in voting, and vowed to add new regulations to rein in social media companies.

Twitter in March used the manipulated media warning to mark a video of Biden shared by President Donald Trump.
