Lee's Summit: A small plane made an emergency landing on a Missouri highway after authorities say the pilot experienced engine failure.
The plane landed on Interstate 470 in Lee's Summit on Tuesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says one of the plane's engines failed as it made its approach to a nearby airport.
The pilot was uninjured.
The highway patrol says the Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted about the landing.
