Chicago: A police vehicle rammed into a car killing an 84-year-old retired teacher and injuring three others in Chicago on Monday.
The surveillance video shows that the police van with its emergency lights on, broke the signal and collided with another car coming from a different direction, killing Verona Gunn on the spot.
Authorities have said that the investigation is going on to find out the main cause of the accident.
Meanwhile Gunn's family lawyer Andrew M. Stroth, said that the police vehicles have violated the department rules that dictate officers responding to calls slow as they approach intersections to ensure they can proceed safely. Stroth has also filed a lawsuit regarding this incident.
