Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard on lockdown amid shooting reports

The shipyard is part of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hick which is adjacent to Honolulu. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Hawaii: US's Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard has been put into lockdown as authorities were responding to a shooting on Wednesday.

Reportedly, three people including the shooter are dead after an attack. A third victim is at a hospital.

The shipyard is part of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hick which is adjacent to Honolulu.

It is across the harbor from the Pearl Harbor National Memorial which on Saturday will mark the 78th anniversary of the attack by Japan that propelled the US into World War II.

Pearl Harbor houses the headquarters for the US Pacific Fleet and is the home port for 10 destroyers and 15 submarines.
