Hyderabad: On International Dance Day, which is marked on April 29 to celebrate the art form, let's give a watch to the throwback video of the iconic dance performance of ice-skating champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White. The video is from the Winter Olympics 2010, Vancouver, which did rounds on the internet. The ice dancers performed their dance to classic Bollywood hits Kajra Re, Silsila Ye Chahat Ka, and Dola Re Dola.
Even after a decade, people are viewing and complimenting the video of the pair sliding on ice with utmost ease. Not only did the pair perform very well on ice, but they also danced to some of the most well-known Bollywood songs. The pair opens the video with Kajra Re, a well-known item song from the 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli, followed by Silsila Ye Chahat Ka, and Dola Re Dola from the 2002 film Devdas. The performance featured a variety of smooth spins, crips kathak moves, and jolting jumps, among other stunning maneuvers. Sharing the video on Instagram, The Olympic Games wrote in the caption, "Bas dekhte hi reh jaoge! Meryl Davis and Charlie White have been a team since 1997, winning several trophies and reigning as world champions for five years in a row. The ice-dancing pair has won 11 gold medals in their entire career.
