Hyderabad: Anirudh Ravichander, who is one of the most sought after musician in the Tamil music scene who is gradually gaining a pan-Indian following. The 33-year-old music composer scored a hattrick this year with back to back hits like Jailer, Jawan and now Leo. His latest release Leo headlined by Thalapathy Vijay, however, entangles Anirudh in a plagiarism controversy.
The plagiarism controversy stems from Leo song Ordinary Person, which has caught the attention of many listeners for its striking resemblance to Belarusian musician Otnicka's track, Where Are You? The striking similarity between Ordinary Person and Where Are You? did not go unnoticed by fans, who took to YouTube and Instagram to point out the uncanny parallels.

Following the online chatter, Otnicka, the original artist, responded to these claims by revealing that no one had sought his permission to use his song. Subsequently, Otnicka addressed the issue in a detailed Instagram post, assuring his followers that they are actively investigating the matter and will provide updates in due course.

Meanwhile, Anirudh has faced a similar allegations before, notably in 2018 when his song Kalyana Vayasu from the movie Kolamaavu Kokila was accused of being a copy of Sannan's Don't Lie. At the time, Anirudh clarified that he had legally obtained the rights for the beats from Beats by Mantra. However, the current situation involving Otnicka's claim that he was never approached for song rights demands an explanation from Anirudh to quell the growing concerns and doubts surrounding this controversy.
