Patna (Bihar): A traffic policeman trying to stop a car got stuck on its bonnet while the driver kept speeding in the city of Patna in Bihar state. The incident reportedly took place on June 26.
The man at the wheels, Dr Kamlesh Gunjan, working with AIIMS, was driving on the wrong side of the road on a rail over bridge in Rupaspur when the policeman tried to intercept it.
Witnesses said the policeman tried to smash the car's windshield to force it to a halt but the doctor kept driving. The policeman was dragged for about 900 meters before passersby pelted stones at the car and forced it to stop.
A case has been lodged against Dr Gunjan for reckless driving and being on the wrong side of the road. A second case was also filed against him for obstructing a government servant from discharging his duties. The vehicle was confiscated and the incident is being investigated by police in Rupaspur, reports said.
