Sriharikota (Nellore): The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is sending oxygen supplies from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota Range (SHAR) to hospitals in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh for the treatment of Covid patients.
It also sent supplies from its centres across the country under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The liquid oxygen (LAX) which is used as an oxidizer for the cryogenic engine in the GSLV rocket is slightly modified and is being offered in the treatment of covid victims.

ISRO has converted about 1.65 lakh liters of liquid nitrogen from its tanks at the Space Application Center into liquid oxygen for hospitals in Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, a major space research centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at Thumba in Kerala has also been supplying 150 tons of liquid oxygen to the governments of Kerala and Tamil Nadu since the end of April.
