Kolkata (West Bengal): Amidst the growing number of coronavirus cases, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda will hold several election programmes in the poll-bound state of West Bengal today. In this context, there are several concerns about Covid norms being flouted, which could lead to an alarming rise in the number of coronavirus cases.
Amit Shah will address two public meetings and roadshows while JP Nadda will be busy with three public meetings and two roadshows.

The BJP President will address public meetings in Katwa, hold roadshows in Bardhman and Kolkata North Suburban and finally address Town Hall Meetings in Kolkata North.
The Home Minister will address the public meetings in Tehatta at 11:30 am and in Khardaha at 4:45 am. After this, he will join the roadshows in Krishnanagar at 1 pm and in Barrackpore at 3 pm.

Election campaigning had stopped on Wednesday evening as voting for the 45 seats will be held on April 17 in the fifth phase of the West Bengal Assembly Elections.
Many star campaigners of the party including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda and actor Mithun Chakraborty who held rallies in the state have targeted the ruling Trinamool Congress over allegations of corruption.
On Thursday, West Bengal had reported a total of 6,769 new cases which has been the highest daily count of Covid-19.
