New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday have begun an investigation into Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tractor march to the Parliament on Monday, saying that tractors were not allowed entry into the premises. Police are trying to ascertain as to how the tractor was brought into Central Delhi despite clear instructions over tractors having been barred, given the violent clashes that had broken out on January 26.
As per preliminary investigation, police suspect that the tractor might've been brought to New Delhi secretly in a container. However, police are trying to gathering information based on CCTV footage. It has also been revealed that the tractor was placed at some distance from the Parliament House, and that the vehicle was modified by placing a board on it.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday took out a 'Tractor Rally' to Parliament. The Congress has been raising the issue in Parliament during its ongoing Monsoon Session. Other Opposition MPs also moved an Adjournment motion in both the Houses demanding a discussion over the matter. Rahul Gandhi, having driven the tractor with other leaders holding placards demanded the repeal of farm laws.
"We have brought the farmers' message to Parliament. The government doesn't let any discussions on this issue in Parliament. They've (BJP leaders) been suppressing the farmers. The three agricultural laws will have to revoked," Rahul told reporters, adding that the tractor was symbolic to the farmers' message and that's the reason he drove it to the Pa.
He was accompanied by Congress MPs, and others including Pratap Singh Bajwa, Deepender Hooda, Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Ravneet Bittu. As soon as Rahul Gandhi reached the Parliament, he handed over the tractor to Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala and IYC President Srinivas BV, following which the Delhi Police detained both the leaders and took them to Mandir Marg police station.
