Delhi double murder: Accused stole DVR in a bid to erase evidence

The police have not got any specific clue in the case of a double murder that took place in the house of an IAF personnel in New Delhi's Palam area. According to the information received from the spot, the accused fled from the scene having stolen the digital video recorder (DVR) that helps record CCTV videos with them, so that police cannot get any evidence.

New Delhi: Police have not got any specific clue in the case of a double murder that took place at the house of an Air Force personnel. According to the information received from the spot, the accused who resorted to the heinous crime have even stolen the digital video recorder (DVR) of CCTV with them, so that police may not get any evidence. On Tuesday, an IAF officer's wife and son were found murdered in New Delhi's Palam area. A case of murder was also registered at the Palam Village Police Station.

The issue came to light after the IAF personnel had returned home from the office and saw his wife and son lying in a pool of blood. He then immediately alerted the neighbours and dialled the police control room informing them about the murders. Whether it is a case of robbery or murder will be revealed only in the investigation, police said.

For the unversed, a digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, in this case, a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).
