Alwar (Rajasthan): A technical glitch in the oxygen panel at the Lord's Covid Care Center on Thursday night led to the death of a patient. Around, five patients were being treated on ventilators when the oxygen equipment broke down and they had to be shifted to a general hospital.
Omprakash (54) died due to a delay in the shifting process. However, the family members of the deceased have accused the hospital administration of gross negligence.
Following a rise in the number of Covid positive patients, the Lord's Hospital had opened a Covid Care Centre recently equipped with ventilators, oxygen beds, and normal beds.

Following the glitch, the patients who were on the ventilator were immediately given oxygen manually using a cylinder. But as they needed more oxygen flow they had to be shifted to the general hospital.
In the process, three patients were shifted to another ICU ward of the hospital, while two others were shifted to the special centre set up at Zanana Hospital.
While the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sunil Chauhan confirmed the glitch in the oxygen panel, the engineers were informed about it.
