New Delhi: Reliance Industries (RIL) on Friday added another feather to its cap by becoming the first Indian firm to hit the Rs 9 lakh crore market valuation mark.
The surge in market capitalisation and share prices comes ahead of the company's second quarter results to be announced later in the day.
Around 11.50 a.m. RIL's market capitalisation was at Rs 9,00,317.35 crore. Shares of the company also rose to a 52-week high of Rs 1,428 per share.
At 11.50 a.m., the shares of RIL were trading at Rs 1,420, higher by Rs 23.85 or 1.71 per cent from the previous close of Rs 1,396.15
The scrip of the country's most-valued company was trading in the green, up 2.28 per cent to a record Rs 1,428, ahead of its earnings announcement later in the day.
In August 2018, RIL became the first domestic firm to cross the Rs 8 lakh crore mark in terms of market valuation.
