My resignation is not a protest against anyone: Former NSC Chairman

Calicut: Recently, two non-government members of the National Statistical Commission (NSC) PC Mohanan & JV Meenakshi, resigned from their positions. While stepping down, they said the Commission was not being taken seriously by the government.

Speaking on the isuue of rise in rate of unemployment, PC Mohanan said that there is evidence for increasing unemployment in India. Most of the studies have shown the data related to recent increase in unemployment in the country.
