11 exemptions to continue in new tax regime: FM

Answering to ETV Bharat's question to list the deductions to be continued in the new tax regime Sitharaman said, "We have completely released the list of those exemptions which are part of the new scheme. I think 11 exemptions have been notified to go along with the new taxation scheme."

Bengaluru: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her post-budget press conference on Monday said that the list of all the 11 exemptions in the new tax regime have been released on the website.

Answering to ETV Bharat's question to list the deductions to be continued in the new tax regime Sitharaman said, "We have completely released the list of those exemptions which are part of the new scheme. I think 11 exemptions have been notified to go along with the new taxation scheme."

The Finance Minister has been visiting different cities to address the concerns and questions of the industrialists and traders on the budget announcements.

The first full time lady Finance Minister of the country presented her second Union Budget on February 1, 2020.
