Hyderabad: With the increasing demand for booze in India amid Covid-19 lockdown, food delivery company Zomato has targeted to enter into delivering alcohol, according to a report by Reuters.
Zomato has already started grocery deliveries in different parts of the country to provide essentials to its costumers during the lockdown.
The Union Home Ministry allowed liquor shops to open in all the three zones namely red, orange and green except the containment zones with certain restrictions from Monday.
The budget revenue estimates from liquor sales of the 16 largest states (except Bihar, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh) was at Rs 1.65 lakh crore in 2020-21.
