Business Desk, ETV Bharat: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new service through which residents of India can get their Aadhaar letter reprinted on a PVC card, which would look similar to any ATM/credit card or a PAN card.

Customers that already have Aadhaar card issued just need to pay Rs 50 (inclusive of GST and speed post charges) and get their Aadhaar PVC card delivered at their homes.

The all-new Aadhaar PVC card boasts of security features like secure QR code, hologram, micro text, issue date and print date, Guilloche Pattern etc.

Usually, the Aadhaar letter is a laminated paper-based document issued to the residents after enrolment and update. The updated Aadhaar PVC card would prove to be a more durable and easy-to-carry card with added security features.

Notably, UIDAI has informed that all forms of Aadhaar (eAadhhar, mAadhaar, Aadhaar letter, Aadhaar card) are equally valid and the resident has the choice to use any of these forms as issued by UIDAI.

Also, it is important to know that this facility is just to get the card format of your Aadhaar letter. If residents want to change some details of the printed Aadhaar letter or card, then they first have to update their Aadhaar details by visiting Permanent Enrolment Centre or SSUP portal (depending on update) and then raise the card-printing request.
