More Tejas type trains for connecting tourist places: FM

The Indian Railways aims to bring more Tejas like trains between major tourist destinations, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during her budget speech today. She also said that more high-speed trains like the one between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be actively pursued.

New Delhi: The Indian Railways will set up a Kisan Rail through public-private partnership model, said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her second Budget in the Parliament on Saturday. The Modi government has tried to give something to every sector in this first complete budget of this financial year in its second term.
