Finance Minister expresses condolences to victims of vizag tragedy

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed her condolences over the Vizag tragedy saying that the news of gas leak from a Polymer plant in Visakhapatnam is worrying and prayers for the safety of all.

Hyderabad: At least eight people were reported dead following a gas leak from a chemical plant in Visakhapatnam in the early hours of Thursday.

According to reports, there was a leak of Styrene gas from the plant due to which people complained of breathing difficulties, irritation to the eyes, skin, and nose.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed her condolences over the incident on twitter.

Sitharaman said,"The news of gas leak from a Polymer plant in Visakhapatnam is worrying.@NDRFHQ is working together with the state government in performing the first responder’s duty. My prayers for the safety of all. Condolences to the family of those deceased."
