Howrah: A joint team of state police and STF raided an illegal firearm factory in North Howrah's Pilkhana area and recovered 26 semi-finished 9mm pistols on Friday morning. According to reports, the production of illegal arms was done at night while the factory produced lead during the day.
Earlier, on Thursday, police raided the Saddam House premise in Sand Road and recovered 22 Semi-finished 9 mm pistols. Police also arrested three people in connection with the case.
Reportedly, arrested Mohammed Chand, Mohammed Sultan and Mohammad Siltu provided inputs to the police about the Pilkhana factory.
While the owner of the factory is absconding, a case has been registered against him and police have launched a manhunt to nab the owner of the factory.
