Lucknow: Taking the responsibility of the massive defeat of Congress in Lok Sabha elections, State Congress President of Uttar Pradesh Raj Babbar has resigned. He has sent his resignation to Rahul Gandhi.
According to the sources, after losing the assembly elections in 2017 also Raj Babbar had resigned but his resignation was not accepted by the Congress president.
Out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Congress fielded their candidates in 68 seats. But out of these 68 seats, Congress won only Sonia Gandhi's Rae Bareli seat.
