New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das on Sunday held a courtesy meeting with outgoing Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Taking to Twitter, Das posted a picture of him and Jaitley along with a caption: "Had a courtesy meeting with Hon'ble Union Minister @arunjaitley this evening."

The government on Sunday said that media reports claiming that Jaitley's health is deteriorating are false and baseless and advised media to stay clear of rumour mongering.

"Reports in section of media regarding Union Minister Shri Arun Jaitley's health condition are false and baseless. Media is advised to stay clear of rumour mongering," government spokesperson Sitanshu Kar said on Twitter.

The media reports over Jaitley's health got rife when the outgoing Finance Minister did not attend the Union Cabinet meeting held on May 24 as he was reportedly unwell.
However, on the same day, Jaitley took a meeting of top Finance Ministry officials including Finance Secretary S C Garg, at his residence.
He was said to have briefed about the preparations for the regular union budget to be presented by the new government. He also met official of the Enforcement Directorate.
