Over 200 hospital staff found absent during surprise inspection

In surprise raids on Thursday Muzaffarnagar district administration in Uttar Pradesh found over 200 staff absent from their offices. District Magistrate has announced deduction one day's salary and departmental action against the absentee officials and employees.

Muzaffarnagar: The Muzaffarnagar district administration in Uttar Pradesh has carried out a surprise inspection at government hospitals and health centres. Officials found that over 200 staff was found to be absent from their duties.
Acting on a complaint, a team led by sub-divisional magistrates and senior officers conducted raids as district office headquarters on Wednesday. As many as 202 officials, including 23 doctors and 21 nurses, were found absent, District Magistrate Ajay Shanker Pandey said.

A day's salary will be deducted and departmental action will be taken against them, the official added.
