New Delhi: Rebati Tripura, a first timer in the 17th Lok Sabha has defeated the Left Front candidate in East Tripura Lok Sabha seat in the just concluded Parliamentary elections.
The 41-year-old, Rebati wants to follow the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that he belongs to the same party as the Prime Minister and like him, he is also a 'Sevak' of the country.
"He will do as much possible for him to do for his constituency and the state," Tripura added.
When asked about his win over the Left Front candidate in East Tripura Lok Sabha seat, Rebati said, "I am feeling very happy that I was able to defeat the Left Front candidate as the state has always been dominated by the Left Front. There was no democracy in the state and the opposition has always been weak here. Now the situation of the state will be changed."
Praising PM Rebati said that Narendra Modi had always paid attention towards the northeastern states and he believes in his guidance.
In the last Assembly election also BJP had defeated Left Front and formed the Government in the state.
