New Delhi: Congress National Secretary and Bihar MLA Shakeel Ahmad Khan has alleged that the centre, as well as the Bihar government, were responsible for the death of more than 150 children in Muzaffarpur.

Central, Bihar govt responsible for Muzaffarpur incident: Khan

He said that Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan visited Muzaffarpur after 18 days whereas Bihar's Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Union Minister Ashwini Choubey visited after 20 days. "This shows how concerned they are," he retorted.

"Harsh Vardhan, Mangal Pandey and Ashwini Choubey should tender their resignation. Visiting hospitals after so many days shows the height of insensitiveness. The situation of the health system in Bihar is pathetic," says Khan.

Lashing out at Tejaswi Yadav he said that the RJD leader was irresponsible as he had not visited Muzaffarpur yet.

"Congress State President and other leaders visited Muzaffarpur and we also took out candle march to protest against the death of the children. This matter should also be investigated," concluded Khan.
