New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), after the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, has alleged TMC of scrabbling around in West Bengal.
Attacking TMC, BJP MP Swapan Dasgupta said that once again there has been violence in the last phase in West Bengal, the candidates of the BJP were targeted by TMC goons.
"We have demanded the deployment of central security forces should continue even after the voting ends to prevent organised recrimination of voters who went against the wishes of TMC," Dasgupta said.
Supporting the statement of Dasgupta, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that TMC cops are threatening our voters.
"We fear that even after the polling is over, the massacre of TMC will continue in Bengal. We want that the deployment of Central forces should remain in Bengal till the end of the Model Code of Conduct," The defence minister added.
BJP has demanded EC take cognizance of violence during polling in Bengal.
