New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera has questioned BJP whether they hate Nehru so much that they fell in love with Jinnah or so much in love with Jinnah that they started hating Nehru, after BJP candidate from Ratlam, Ghulam Singh Damore, in his statement while praised Jinnah during his election campaign.
Pawan Khera during a press conference said that it is now clear that the policy of both Muslim League and BJP were the partition of India.
"In the elections held in 1942, the Hindu Mahasabha formed the government in collaboration with the Muslim League. Today, their 'Jinnah love' demonstrates that both of them had the same policy," Congress spokesman said.
Pavan Khera added that the statement of BJP candidate from Ratlam is the reality of the BJP who created a storm over Jinnah's picture in Aligarh.
BJP candidate from Ratlam, Demore had said in his election meeting, "If Mohammed Ali Jinnah would have been the first Prime Minister and Nehru did not insist to be Prime Minister, India would have been undivided."
Congress claims that this statement has insulted Nehru. Accordingly, they have asked Prime Minister Modi to apologize on this matter.
