Patna: The video of a young man being mercilessly beaten up by residents of a village in Rohtas district of Bihar has gone viral on social media. In the video of the incident, said to have taken place at Bhadokhara in Tilothu area of the district, residents of the area are seen brutally thrashing the youth and shaving his head even as he kept pleading to them to spare him.
According to reports, Gorakh Kumar, a resident of Chorkap village in Tilothu, had gone to Bhadokhara in the middle of the night to meet his girlfriend. But some people of the village caught him and thrashed him brutally, accusing him of molestation. His head was shaved and he was paraded around the village.

Some youth captured the incident on a mobile phone camera following which the video went viral.
After the video surfaced, the police took cognizance of the matter and took the youth into custody. No FIR has been registered in this regard so far. Further action will be taken after receiving any complaint. Police is probing the matter.
