Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): A case of unidentified miscreants bombing the ancestral house of retired Supreme Court judge Ashok Bhushan in UP's Prayagraj, led to heightened tension in Hashimpur locality of Colonelganj. As soon as the news surfaced, several police personnel, officers including the DIG immediately reached the spot and scoured the CCTV footage for evidence.
An investigation has been initiated and efforts are on to nab the culprits. Two bombs were detonated one after the other on the building located in Hashimpur locality of Colonelganj.
According to Kavindra Pratap Singh (IG), there has been a dispute among two parties living in the locality close to the judge's residence, and one of the parties in a bid to create panic among the other had resorted to the act. The IG further said that the perpetrators of the bombing have been identified and will be apprehended soon.

It has also been learnt that the family of Anil Bhushan, an advocate in the Allahabad HC and the brother of retired Supreme Court Justice Ashok Bhushan, lives in the same locality.
According to KP Singh, the incident has got nothing to do with the family of retired Justice Ashok Bhushan.
