1 SIT submits 3,500-page report on Bikru massacre

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), set up to probe the Bikru massacre in which eight policemen were killed on July 3, has submitted 3,500 pages report to the Uttar Pradesh government. The report recommended action against 75 officials including 40 police personnel for having links with the main accused Vikas Dubey.

2 Toddler falls in borewell in MP's Niwari, rescue operation underway

Rescue operations are underway to save a five-year-old boy who fell in a 200 feet borewell in Niwari. The soil is being excavated by JCB machines from one side. Oxygen pipe has been inserted in the borewell so that the child does not have trouble breathing.

A massive fire broke out at a steel plant in Visakhapatnam after an oil leak in the 1.2-megawatt electric motor. There were no reports of casualties.

7 Bihar: Many missing after boat overturns in river Ganga

Several people went missing after a boat capsized in the Naugachhia area of Bihar's Bhagalpur on Thursday.

The Central government is directed to implement the ban on usage of disinfectants and ultraviolet rays on humans for COVID-19 management within a month. Earlier, on September 7, the Supreme Court had criticized the government for not taking any actions despite stating spraying of chemical disinfectants as harmful.
