Pune-based company Mylab Discovery Solutions Limited has developed 'CoviSelf', a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kit, which will let you test yourself for the virus. This antigen kit costing Rs 250 has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research.

Pune: In Rs 250, you can now test yourself for COVID-19 at the comfort of your home.

Pune-based company Mylab Discovery Solutions Limited has developed 'CoviSelf', a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kit, which will let you test yourself for the virus. This antigen kit costing Rs 250 has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research.

A self-testing kit for corona will be available in the market soon:

Sujit Jain, director of Mylab Discovery Solutions Limited, told ETV Bharat that people who test positive through this kit are deemed infected. They need not undergo another test for confirmation. "However, those who test negative in CoviSelf but exhibit COVID-19 symptoms will be considered a suspect and they need to get the RT-PCR test done. The complete trial of this antigen kit has been effective and successful, and it will be out in the market soon," he said.
