Evasive T-23 tiger tranquilized near Masinagudi forest: Reports

The Tamil Nadu forest department has been tracking the tiger for more than 20 days. It is believed that the tiger killed around four people in the nearby villages in Masinagudi.

The Nilgiris: The Tamil Nadu forest department has reportedly tranquillized T-23 tiger near Masinagudi forest in Nigiris district of Tamil Nadu.

The department has been tracking the tiger for more than 20 days, which allegedly killed around four people in the nearby villages.

Tamil Nadu chief wildlife warden Shekhar Kumar Niraj had issued an order to hunt down T23. A special team was later formed to track the big cat.

The Madras High Court, however, had ordered the forest department to capture the tiger alive and not to shoot it.
