Chandigarh: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has targeted Congress after Maharashtra state Congress president Nana Patole on Thursday flayed Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar for their silence on the fuel price hike.
The minister, reacting to the statement of Patole, said that Congress is unable to play a meaningful role of the opposition and has to take the support of cine stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar to oppose the central government.
"Is threatening celebrities an honour for the country? Opposing them is indicative of the crippling and hollowness of the Congress party," Anil Vij said.
