New Delhi: CCTV footage of conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has surfaced in which he is seen weeping in a corner of his prison cell. Sukesh reportedly cried bitterly in front of Sukesh Ranjan, Jailor Deepak Sharma, and Jaisingh, lodged in Mandoli Jail in Harsh Vihar area. According to official sources, the police recovered a pair of Gucci slippers worth Rs 1.5 lakh. They further revealed two pairs of jeans worth Rs 80,000 from his cell during a search.
In the video, Sukesh is seen sobbing and repeatedly wiping his eyes. For the last few months, Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been targeting not only artists but also many politicians through his letters. Actresses like Jacqueline Fernandes and Nora Fatehi are under investigation in the matter.
Chandrashekhar (33) was recently arrested by the ED in a money laundering case under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED arrested the conman in a fresh money laundering case linked to duping former Religare promoter Malvinder Singh's wife by posing as the Union home and secretaries.
Sukesh, who was in jail before the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, had written about a dozen letters to the Lieutenant Governor and the media. He made serious allegations in the letters against Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia along with Delhi Government Minister Satyendar Jain, who was lodged in Tihar Jail. Earlier, the Patiala House Court remanded the conman to nine-days custody of the Enforcement Directorate in relation to a money laundering case.
