Prayagraj: The administration in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh has stepped in to remove bodies buried at Ganga Ghat of Shrangverpur.

On Monday, Anil Chaturvedi, the SDM of Soraon inspected the Shrangverpur Ghat. He also reviewed the river erosion situation of the ghat. He said that eight pyres have been erected on the ghat. If any more bodies were found in the river, they will be cremated, he said.

A tractor is being used to bring firewood for cremations. The administration has also declared that bodies should not be buried in the Shrangverpur Ghat.
