Rohtak family murder case: Accused son wanted to sell property, flee abroad

The accused Abhishek (20) carried out all four murders to sell all his property and escape abroad. He was also planning to undergo gender change surgery.

Rohtak (Haryana): The police investigating the August 27 murder case wherein four members of a family were brutally killed in Haryana's Rohtak have revealed shocking details.

According to Police DSP Gorakhpal Rana, the accused Abhishek (20) carried out the murders in order to sell all his property and escape abroad. He was also planning to undergo gender change surgery.

The accused had been planning the murder for several days before the actual incident took place.

On the afternoon of August 27, Pradeep alias Bablu, a property dealer and wrestler by profession living in Vijayanagar Colony, his wife Babli, grandmother Roshni, and daughter Tamanna were shot inside the house. Bablu, Babli and Roshni died on the spot, while Tamanna succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the hospital.

Abhishek alias Monu, the main accused in the case is the only son of wrestler Pradeep alias Bablu. He is a student of BA first year in Jat college.

The investigation also revealed that the accused carried out this murder single-handedly and none of his friends was involved.

After carrying out the murders the accused fled the spot, but the accused had locked the door from inside and stole the ornaments from the bodies of the parents so that the matter looked like a robbery.

Police DSP Rana also informed that the accused was taken to the spot to recreate the crime scene. The CCTV footage collected from the neighbourhood and sustained questioning of Abhishek helped them crack the case.
