New Delhi: Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to America, farmers' leader Rakesh Tikait has appealed to Indian citizens living in America to support farmers and protest against Modi.

Tikait said that the "Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will be there in New York on 25 September. This is my appeal to the Indian citizens living in US to host a farmer's flag on their vehicle. Put up the banner of "No Farmer No Food" against Modi."

Tikait said that "it has been 10 months since the farmers are protesting against three farms laws at various borders of the national capital including the Ghazipur border. More than 750 farmers have lost their lives in the movement. Yet, the Centre is not ready to negotiate with the farmers. We spent winter, summer and rainy seasons on the roads. This is my appeal to all the Indian citizens living in America to register their protest."

Narendra Modi on 22 September embarked on his first foreign tour in six months to engage directly with the Joe Biden administration in the United States (US). He is on a three-day visit to America.
