New Delhi: Being one of the severly affected states by Covid-19 pandemic, Rajasthan is going to get its first Oxygen Express with 40 Metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen. It will reach Kota on Friday morning.
This train is enroute to Kota from Hapa, Gujarat, carrying 3 tankers of LMO. These tankers in RO-RO mode loaded on MBWT wagons carrying 40.64 tonnes of LMO and departed from Hapa at 11:53 hours, on Thursday.
The Oxygen Express will travel 920 km covering its route via Hapa, Rajkot, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Vadodra, Nagda, before reaching Kota.
The Oxygen Tankers are supplied by Reliance Industries in Jamnagar.

On Thursday, Railways informed that 40 Oxygen Expresses have already completed their journey, delivering 2511MT (approx.) of LMO in 161 tankers to various states across the country.
So far, 174 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, 689 MT in UP, 190 MT to MP, 259 MT in Haryana, 123 MT in Telangana and 1053MT in Delhi via Oxygen Express.
Presently 22 tankers are on the run with more than 400 tonnes of LMO which are expected to arrive in MP, Haryana , Rajasthan and Delhi, the Railways said in a statement.
