Ahmadnagar: Central Railway has resumed special train services for devotees travelling from South India to Shirdi. Sainagar Railway station master L P Singh informed that a decision has been taken to resume Secunderabad - Shirdi biweekly expresses from today.
"A total of 150 devotees arrived for darshan by the first train," he added further.
The trains that were closed during the lockdown period are being resumed by Central railways gradually. Taking into account the increasing flow of devotees from South India to Shirdi, three special trains including biweekly express Shirdi- Secunderabad, Secunderabad-Shirdi and Kakinada –Shirdi have been resumed by Railway ministry.
The special biweekly express Secunderabad to Sainagar Shirdi has been resumed from today. This train will depart from Secunderabad on every Friday and Sunday at 4-45 PM. It will reach Shirdi at 9-10 AM next day via Vikarabad, Udgir, Parali, Parbhani, Aurangabad, Nagarsol.

Shirdi-Secunderabad special train will depart from Shirdi on every Saturday and Monday evening at 5-20 PM and will reach Secunderabad at 8-55 AM next
day by the same route.
Likewise, Kakinada-Shirdi special trains will depart from Kakinada on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 6 AM. It will reach Shirdi at 9-10 AM the next day. It
will take Rajahmundry, Vijaywada, Secunderabad, Vikarabad, Parali, Parbhani, Aurangabad stations. Shirdi-Kakinada special train will depart from Shirdi station
at 5-20 PM every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. It will reach Kakinada at 7-45 PM next evening at Kakinada and it will follow the route of Aurangabad, Parbhani, Secunderabad, Vijaywada.
Special precautions are being taken by Shirdi Sainagar Railway station health department to prevent the coronavirus spread. The passengers possessing return tickets are being allowed to enter the station only after massive checking.
