Patna: The roads ahead for RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav does not seem to be smooth, at least the track record proves it. Once again Tejashwi has decided to kick off his yatra christened “Dhanyawad Yatra”.
Soon after the Bihar assembly results, Tejashwi has proclaimed that he has got the people's mandate and he would launch thanks giving yatra across the state. However, looking at his past records, it has been proved that none of his Yatra reached a logical conclusion. In fact, most of them stopped midway.
Now once again he has planned something similar but has a tough road ahead.
Ever since RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has been admitted to Delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the young RJD leader is making a frequent trip to the national capital. In fact, he is spending most of his time in Delhi looking after his father's health who is suffering from several diseases. Not only this even Bihar budget session will commence from February 19 of this month in which he has to give his proper representation.
Eyebrows are being raised on the yatra of Tejashwi as, despite several unsuccessful Yatra, he has not learnt any lesson. However, the official date has not yet been announced.
In the past, some of the famous yatra's of Tejashwi which stopped midway includes Srijan Scam Yatra, Janadesh Apmaan Yatra, Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Yatra, NDA Bhagao Desh Bachao Cycle March and Berojgari Hatyao Yatra.
Unlike chief minister Nitish Kumar Yatra which revolves around social issues, the RJD's yatra had been restricted to politics in terms of attacking the government.
Some of the successful yatras of Nitish includes Nischay Yatra, Vikas Yatra, Vikas Samiksha Yatra, Seva Yatra, Vishwas Yatra, Adhikar Yatra and even Dhanyawad Yatra. Nitish had launched a series of Yatra after he came to power in 2005 beginning with Nyay Yatra. The last one he took was Jal-Jivan-Hariyali Yatra. Altogether Nitish has launched 11 such yatras till now with a margin of huge success.
Whereas most of Tejashwi's yatras are not planned and disciplined, it may be the reason that at last, it takes the shape of conglomeration.
Political expert Sanjay Kumar opined that people eagerly wait for such yatra as they get the opportunity to meet their leaders but at the same time he has to ensure that he doesn't disappear midway.
“It's good that RJD has emerged as the single largest party and he must go among the people to thank them and even people wait for it. However, Tejashwi must keep in mind that if he makes another unsuccessful attempt and does not complete the yatra then he will leave a bad mark,” Kumar stressed.
In 2018 when Tejashwi launched his Cycle March from Gaya but by the time he reached Arwal, the march was stopped. Similarly, when he kicked off Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Yatra from Kishanganj he covered a few districts but after a few days, he returned to Patna.
Last year he launched Berojgari Hatyao Yatra but after lockdown, not a single word was uttered about it. However, he set the agenda of unemployment in the assembly election and most of the political parties were on backfoot. Tejashwi in fact, got the benefit as well after the RJD emerged as the single largest party.
BJP leader and spokesperson of the party Nikhil Anand took a jibe on Tejashwi's yatra and alleged that his yatra is more like a photo session. He also claimed that Tejashwi can never complete any yatra in his entire political career.
On the other hand, JDU spokesperson Arvind Nishad epitomizes him with the character of Mr India.
“You never know when he will turn Mr India at the middle of the yatra and it has been proved time and again. He has nothing to do with yatra except taking political mileage, “Nishad alleged.
However, RJD leader claimed the party got the benefit from his all yatra and because of Tejashwi's yatra party managed to secure 75 seats in the assembly poll.
“Tejashwiji has not yet launched his yatra and the trouble could be seen on the faces of BJP and JDU leaders. They are scared due to the success of his yatra and that's the reason they are issuing such statement, “RJD spokesperson Mirtunjay Tiwari asserted.
In the past Bihar has witnessed many histories taking its shape through yatra and only time will prove what kind of history Tejashwi will make in days to come through his much-awaited Dhanyawad Yatra.
