Sambalpur (Chhattisgarh): A police constable's father was killed allegedly by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The incident took place in Sambalpur village of Kohka police station area.
Ravindra Sai Katega, 55, was first shot by the Naxalites and then killed with a sharp weapon. A burnt motorcycle was found near the body. The Naxalites fled from the spot after killing the man. Police are investigating the matter and have registered a murder case against unknown Naxalites.
DSP Naxal Operation Ajit Kumar Ogre said that between 3 to 4 pm, the Naxalites killed Katega in Sambalpur and Pugand forest area. The deceased was the father of a police constable posted in Manpur area. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is on.
