New Delhi: BJP President JP Nadda has held a meeting with BJP leaders from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan, at party headquarters on Tuesday evening over the newly passed agri laws and ongoing farmers' protest.
According to sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also present in the meeting. BJP leaders, functionaries, MPs, MLAs, mostly from these regions were also called present there.
Agricultural laws and strategies related to the issue of farmers were discussed and BJP top leaders were instructed to go to the farmers and talk regarding farm bills with them, sources said.
Notably, farmers, mostly from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, are protesting at Delhi’s borders against the laws since November 28 last year and demanding they be withdrawn.
