Mumbai (Maharashtra): A dog owner from here booked entire Air India business cabin for his pet dog and him to travel from Mumbai to Chennai. The incident happened on Wednesday. The pet owner reportedly spent Rs 2.5 lakh to give a luxurious travel to is pet.
The dog owner and his pet, a Maltese Furball breed, left Mumbai at 9 am on Sept. 15. The Air India A-320 aircraft has a total of 12 business class cabin seats. A business class ticket from Mumbai to Chennai costs Rs 20,000. The pet owner has booked an entire cabin for their travel.
According to Air India's flight policy, dogs, cats and birds are allowed to travel in the airplane. But these animals need to have vaccination certificate. A passenger is allowed to take two pets. Depending on the animal, they can be carried in a cabin or in the cargo. Animals traveling in business class are seated in the last row of the cabin.
