New Delhi: Bihar Congress MP and National Secretary Mohammad Jawed said that the Central government should immediately repeal the three farm laws as the farmers have started their own Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar in line with the ongoing agitation. In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, Mohammad Jawed said that the three agricultural laws will destroy the farmers who have been protesting against them in the Delhi border areas for the past eight months.

He said that Congress is firmly standing with the farmers to support them on this issue. "The Congress will stand with the farmers until the laws are withdrawn. The party will extend all possible help to the farmers and will become their voice in the Parliament," Jawed said. Right from the streets to the Parliament, we will support the farmers on this issue, he added.

Jawed said that the Centre has brought these laws to benefit some capitalists and make them richer. "In 2006, the NDA government in Bihar brought a similar law. The official MSP rate of paddy was Rs 1,850 but farmers had to sell paddy for Rs 1,100. All three agricultural laws are not to meant to benefit farmers. Therefore, the Central government should immediately repeal these laws," he said.
