Rudrapur (Uttarakhand): In a shocking incident, a married man murdered his girlfriend with a sharp weapon during a birthday party at Rudrapur in Uttarakhand.
He also attacked the mother of the victim when she came to the rescue of her daughter. After getting the information, the police arrested the accused and sent the body for postmortem.
According to the police, the accused, Kinkar alias Bhola Mandal, a resident of Sanjay Nagar Kheda of Rudrapur, was having an extra-marital affair with the deceased Nirmala alias Neema.

Neema was living in a rented apartment in the owner's colony of Rudrapur, whereas, Bhola was living with his wife Babita and child in Sanjay Nagar Kheda.
On Sunday evening, a birthday party was going on in the house of the accused while Neema came there with her mother. In the meantime, an argument broke out between the lovebirds, and the victim threatened the accused. In a fit of anger, Bhola attacked Neema with a sharp weapon due to which she died on the spot.
The police further said that Bhola was addicted to drugs. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
