Drug addict kills child for rift over Rs 50 in Faridabad

The Faridabad Police has disclosed the case of gruesome child murder in the district which happened six months ago. On Sunday, the Crime Branch DLF team arrested the murder accused of an 18-month-old child. The accused has been identified as Naresh alias Binnu, a resident of Village Khedi Kala, Sector-56 Faridabad. The 22-year-old accused is addicted to drugs.

Faridabad (Haryana): The Faridabad Police has disclosed the case of gruesome child murder in the district which happened six months ago. On Sunday, the Crime Branch DLF team arrested the murder accused of an 18-month-old child. The accused has been identified as Naresh alias Binnu, a resident of Village Khedi Kala, Sector-56 Faridabad. The 22-year-old accused is addicted to drugs.

The matter is from the last February. On 6th February, a murder case was registered in the police station Sector-58. In this case, the accused Naresh had killed the 18-month-old child in a planned manner.

The police got a tip-off and acting on the information, arrested the accused from Faridabad. During the interrogation, the accused revealed that he is addicted to drugs and has no employment to sustain himself. He revealed that he is the neighbour of the murdered child's father, Shan Mohammad. The accused used to fight with the victim's family frequently over different issues. Just two days before the incident, the accused had snatched Rs 50 from the 8-year-old sister of the deceased child. The accused and the deceased's father fought over it.

The accused developed an enmity with Shan Mohammad regarding this matter and one day, found Shaan Mohammad's 18-month-old boy playing alone on the evening of February 6. Using the opportunity, the accused took the boy to his flat. Later, he took the child upstairs to the terrace and drowned him in the water tank and killed the boy. The accused later shut the water tank with a wire. At the same time, when the parents didn't see their child for a long time, they started searching for him

After searching for a long time, they recovered the body of the child from the same tank. The accused had fled after committing the crime. The accused started running from place to place to avoid getting arrested. Finally, based on specific input, the police arrested the accused. The accused has confessed the crime and was later presented in court by the police before sending him to Neemka Jail.
