Chennai: Mani Ratnam, brother of the late MBBS aspirant S Anitha, lodged a complaint against All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader and Minister K Pandiarajan for sharing a morphed video of his sister for election campaign.
As per the allegation, Minister Pandiarajan posted an edited video of Anitha, dubbed by someone in Twitter. 17-year-old Anitha is seen as praising the ruling AIADMK's new policy of 7.5 per cent reservation for government school students in medical admissions.

The video has created a row in Tamil Nadu. Slamming Pandiarajan, Anitha's brother said, "You have proven that you are worse than a worm that feeds off a corpse. Anitha had protested against the NEET and it was condemnable to post a video of her seeking support for the AIADMK. Please remove the video."

Later in the day, the Minister deleted the video from his Twitter handle and posted a new video for clarification. In that video, Pandiarajan claimed that the tweet had been posted without his knowledge or permission.
"I have no intention of maligning anyone. The person who posted this tweet would be found and appropriate action will be taken against them. Complaint would be lodged with the cybercrime police on the matter," he said.
